About Chichis
Chichis is the village of residence of the commune with the equal name in Covasna County, Transylvania, Romania. It is positioned in the south-west of the county, in the Sfantu Gheorghe Depression. The first documentary attestation dates lower back to 1461, but the few archaeological discoveries made at the territory of the village have yielded fabric evidence of a living in view that historic instances, and inside the area known as Aneri there had been discovered fragments of ceramics attributed to the Bronze Age.
In place named after Anini, fragments of Roman ceramics, in addition to a clay fusillale, several ceramic fragments and bones of animals from an undetermined age have been found. On the occasion of the development of the bridge over the river Olt, on its right bank, at a intensity of about four m, a sword and a coin from the 13th century have been discovered. Starting with 1876, the village of Chichis can be territorially owned with the aid of the Three Chairs of the Kingdom of Hungary, in order to result in 1920, with the signing of the Treaty of Trianon, a treaty that could set the borders of Hungary with its neighbors.
