About Certesti
Certesti is a commune consisting of three villages: Certesti, Carlomanesti and Cotoroaia. The village of Certesti is documented in a document issued by means of Petru Rares in 1528, which reminds this village as belonging to the village Stan Certul. The village of Carlomanesti is documented on April 11, 1538. It seems that the first call of the village became that of Mogosesti ruled by means of a Manea Mogosca. The name of the city derives from the Italian shape of the call of Emperor Charles the Great, specifically "Carlomango".
In this locality is a monastery courting again to the 15th century. The first mentions about the monastery of Carlomanesti have been observed in an uric from the Neamt Monastery dated April five, 1445. At the place referred to as these days the "pop fountain" become a caricature of Ciunca Stan. This monastery is likewise cited inside the files of 1548, during the time of Petru Movila of Moldavia while it appears to have nearly four hundred population.
