About Capalna
Capalna is a commune in Bihor County, northwestern Romania with a population of 1,663 human beings. It consists of five villages: Capalna, Ginta, Rohani, Saldabagiu Mic and Suplacu de Tinca. The commune is located within the southern part of Bihor County, at the right financial institution of the Crișul Negru, at a distance of 60 km from Oradea, 26 km from Beiuș and 40 km from Salonta. The metropolis, a part of the Kingdom of Hungary, became first documented in 1214 below the name of Zolonta and in 1332 a Papal record used the call Zalanta.
From 1587 the Hungarian spelling Szalonta was used. Until the sixteenth century, it changed into simplest a small village of approximately 300 population and become on the land of the Toldi circle of relatives.
