About Borsec
Borsec is a city in Harghita County, Romania. The city and the surrounding areas are well known for their spas and mineral waters. It has a population of 2,585, with a majority of ethnic Hungarians. It turned into traditionally a part of the Szekely Land place of Transylvania. Administratively, it belonged to Csikszek till the executive reform of Transylvania in 1876, whilst it fell in the Csik County inside the Austria-Hungary.
After the Treaty of Trianon of 1920, it became a part of Romania and fell inside Ciuc County in the course of the interwar length.
