About Bod
Point, previously Bota is the commune with the equal call in Braşov County, Transylvania, Romania. Archaeologists have established the settlement since the Neolithic period. The first mention in documents dates lower back to 1211, whilst the Saxons between Rin and Mosel had been colonized at Bod. In 1241, the village was burnt by the Tartars, having suffered from the marauding incursions before. Because of this, the Saxons informed him "Brenndorf" burned village. In 1802 a effective earthquake broke down the castle inside the center of the commune. Just a corner of the wall has been preserved to mark the vintage fortification.
In 1889 the Sugar Factory Bod came into being, with Colonia being installed, a multi-block agreement around the manufacturing unit where the manufacturing facility people have been housed. Between 1933 and 1934, the Bodice transmission station become constructed, then with a electricity of 150 kW, then 2,000 kW. Today it best emits 2 hundred kW. The station is in Colonia Bod.
