About Banloc
Banloc is a commune in Timis County, Romania. It is composed of 4 villages: Banloc, Ofsenita, Partos and Soca. The commune is first attested on May 13, 1400 in a report given to the clerk of Cenad, under the name of „Byallak”. For nearly two centuries it changed into the summer season house of Temesvar Eyalet's pasha. In 1716, Banat was conquered by means of the Austrians. At the census of 1717, it turned into registered as Panloch, belonging to the Ciacova district with 85 inhabited homes.
On Count Mercy's map made between 1723-1725, the village seems as Banlok. Although, the nation vicinity of Banloc is assigned, by the exchange of land, to the Croatian Ban of Draskovic. In 1783 the domain is offered to Count Lazar Karatsonyi from the Karatsonyi of Beodra, which ten years later constructed on ancient foundations, the modern fortress located inside the center of the village.
