Bacani

Bacani is a commune in Vaslui county, Moldova, Romania, including the villages Bacani residence, Baltateni, Drujesti, Suseni and Vulpaseni. It is at approx. 10 km from the city of Barlad, being located inside the Northeast vicinity of monetary development. The floor of the commune is 52.20 km² and the primary financial activity precise to the locality is agriculture. On June 29, the day of Commune Bacani is well known, precisely at the day of Saints Peter and Paul.

Among the first documentary attestations about Bacani commune had been made through Dimitre Cantimir in his work Descriptio Moldaviae wherein it's far noted that within the 17th century there have been localities on the hills round Barlad that had a close reference to the metropolis, being approximately the villages of Drujesti and Bacani who were also on the formation of Bacani commune in 1864 by means of the communal regulation that furnished that villages and hamlets should be grouped into communes having an management selected from amongst them being for the primary time when administrative organization became commenced in Romania. From its status quo until 1948, the commune of Bacani belonged to Tutova county and in 1911 had the subsequent village settlements underneath its jurisdiction: Drujesti, Suseni, Vulpaseni.
