About Atid
Atid is a commune in Harghita County, Romania. It lies inside the Szekely Land, an ethno-cultural region in japanese Transylvania. From historic times the place was populated by way of Dacians. After the Roman conquest of Dacia, the Romans imposed their manage inside the vicinity by means of building a citadel called Praetoria Augusta in Inlaceni village. The fort turned into found in 1858. The villages have been historically part of the Szekely Land place of Transylvania province.
They belonged to Udvarhely district till the executive reform of Transylvania in 1876, once they fell within Udvarhely County within the Kingdom of Hungary. After the Treaty of Trianon of 1920, they became a part of Romania and fell within Odorhei County at some stage in the interwar duration. In 1940, the second Vienna Award granted Northern Transylvania to Hungary, which held it until 1944. After Soviet occupation, the Romanian management lower back, and the commune have become officially part of Romania in 1947.
