About Ardusat
Ardusat is the village of the commune with the identical call in Maramures County, Transylvania, Romania. It is famend nationally and internationally with the popular choir that has received many awards. The first documentary testimony dates from 1231, where it seems underneath the call of Erdezad and over time had distinctive names: Erdezat, Erdew Cshada, Erdewdzut, Erdewzada, Erdodszada. In this village, at the beginning of the 19th century inhabited the noble own family Karacsay de Valje - Szaka, and then he definitively moved to Aruncuta, Cluj County. Count Sandor Karacsay of Valje - Szaka was born in 1789 and died in Aruncuta, jud. Cluj on 3 September 1858.
He married in 1811 with Countess Rozalia Kornis of Goncz-Ruszka, who died in Aruncuta within the year 1847. The had five children, respectively Sandor, born on 14 September 1814 in Ardusat and died in Aruncuta on 19 August 1880. He become married to baroness Johanna Wesselenyi of Hadad. The different children are: Josef, Elodin born in 1816 and married to Maximilian Wimmer, Alexandrina deceased in Aruncuta on three March 1837 and Johanna Karacsay, married to Baron Laszlo Wesselenyi of Hadat 1812 to 1871.
