About Wesola
Wesola is one of the districts of Warsaw, and has been since October 27, 2002. Wesola is positioned inside the south eastern a part of metropolis. Wesola received metropolis privileges on December 17, 1968. The development of the area was decided by using its locality to three critical routes. The first route, called Stary Trakt comes from Grochow and then travels through Okuniew, Stanislaw, and sooner or later through South Podlasie in the direction of Russia. Established near this path became Grzybowa village with Zielona hotel and Wola Grzybowa, which now is called Wola Grzybowska.
Near the second path, which comes from Prague, through Kamion, Grochowo, to Minsk Mazowiecki, then via Tiraspol and Brest, the Milosna village developed. In 1823 at the Stanislaw Staszic's initiative a road was constructed, known as Trakt Brzeski. The third direction turned into the Warsaw Tiraspol Railway, commenced on September 18, 1867. It comes from Warsaw to Tiraspol, through Siedlce and Lukow. Despite Warsaw growing and annexing new areas, there was no case in which streets shared the same call.
