About Waly Chrobrego
Waly Chrobrego is a perception deck around 500 m since a long time ago situated in the focal point of the city of Szczecin. They are found 19 meters over the stream level. From here you can see Odra, its bowl, channels, islands: Grodzka and Bielawa, Lasztownia and the port, the Castle Route and further the Beech Mountains. Waly Chrobrego is the most illustrative place of Szczecin. There are three sublime open structures: 1. Higher Maritime School, 2. National Museum, 3. Commonplace Office. In the focal piece of the porches there are two oval structures, through which you can go down to the focal perception deck. On the porch there is a figure of Hercules battling with Centaureas by Karl Ludwig Manzel.
At the base are a wellspring and two stone lights. The entire is momentous, symmetrical and wealthy in various subtle elements with its imagery alluding to Szczecin and the association of the city with the ocean. In where Waly Chrobrego is today from the Middle Ages strongholds were manufactured, extended and reproduced. Genuine development was made by the Swedish armed force, which in 1630 possessed Szczecin. In 1713, Szczecin was vanquished by the Prussian armed force, which for a long time (1724 - 1740) for 8 million thalers assembled new strongholds comprising of nine bastions strengthened with three fortresses.
