Walbrzych
About Walbrzych
Walbrzych is a metropolis in Lower Silesian Voivodeship in southwestern Poland. From 1975–1998 it was the capital of Walbrzych Voivodeship; it's miles now the seat of Walbrzych County. Walbrzych lies approximately 70 kilometres southwest of the voivodeship capital Wroclaw and approximately 30 kilometres from the Czech border. It has a population of about 113,600 which makes it the second-biggest metropolis in the voivodeship and the 33rd biggest within the USA. Polish resources suggest the city's predecessor, Lasogrod, changed into an early medieval Slavic settlement whose population engaged in searching, honey accumulating, and later agriculture.
Lasogrod sooner or later advanced right into a shielding castle, the stays of which were destroyed inside the 19th century at some point of growth of the city. However, a few German sources say no archaeological or written information assist notions of an early Slavic agreement or the life of a castle before the overdue 13th century, and that during the Middle Ages the place became part of the unpopulated Silesian woodland.
