About Ustka Lighthouse
Ustka lighthouse is a lighthouse positioned in Ustka, at the Polish coast of the Baltic Sea. The lighthouse is located in among the Jaroslawiec lighthouse and the Czolpino lighthouse. The lighthouse stands at the base of the jap breakwater of Ustka's harbour - defensive the port's front manner. Ustka become a completely important coastal metropolis for the nearby Slupsk - for transportation of goods and Baltic journey. In 1871 a mast was built nearby the harbour's admiralty station; powered by means of an oil lamp at the mast. It shone with a pink mild and become seen at a distance of 6 nautical miles.
Later on, mild was elevated to a peak of 11.6 metres - while quickly afterwards, since the building of a new purple brick harbour admiralty station, an octagonal lighthouse turned into constructed inside the western facet of the building. It become most effective in 1904 when the character of the light was changed to white and intermittent. Currently the lighthouse is open to the general public and the view gallery at the pinnacle of the lighthouse can be reached through a concrete and steel staircase.
