About Radomsko
Radomsko is a city in principal Poland with 46,583 inhabitants. It is situated on the Radomka river inside the Lodz Voivodeship, having previously been in Piotrkow Trybunalski Voivodeship. It is the capital of Radomsko County. Radomsko obtained metropolis privileges from Duke Leszek II the Black of Sieradz in 1266. It is the site of a Franciscan monastery constructed on behalf of Bona Sforza, the queen consort of King Sigismund I of Poland. Following the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany, Radomsko changed into taken over through the Wehrmacht on 3 September 1939.
In April 1940, a Nazi ghetto was set up inside the Przedborze district for neighborhood Polish Jews. The ghetto changed into liquidated in ranges throughout the Holocaust. The first deportation motion took place in early October 1942 with prisoners despatched aboard freight trains to Treblinka. On 12 October, about 9,000 Jews have been deported. A small group of Jewish slave labour became allowed to stay in the back of. They were despatched to Treblinka in January 1943.
