About Przemysl Cathedral
The Cathedral of Przemysl officially the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist in Przemysl is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Przemysl, Poland. It is the principle church of the Archdiocese of Przemysl, placed at the Cathedral Square within the Old Town. The first cathedral of the Diocese became a wooden church which existed from 1375 to 1412, status within the rectangular beside the prevailing church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
From 1412 - 1460 a Ruthenian Orthodox cathedral constructed of stone stood within the courtyard of Przemysl Castle which it turned into strongly related to. Construction of the existing cathedral inside the Gothic style started out with the Chapter of Bishop Nicholas Blazejowski in 1495. Only the walls and pillars continue to be from this building.
