About Poniatowa
Poniatowa is a city in southeastern Poland, in Opole Lubelskie County, in Lublin Voivodship, with 10,500 populations. It belongs to the ancient province of Lesser Poland. During the lifestyles of the 17th century Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth Poniatowa turned into a part of the Lublin Voivodeship also. For maximum of its records Poniatowa turned into a village it did no longer receive metropolis constitution until July 18, 1962. Exact date of establishment of Poniatowa is not recognized, but, it must have existed earlier than the year 1382, because on September 2,1382, the Starosta of Lublin issued a document co-signed by using a person named Gotard, who was the owner of a village named Poniatowa. After King Kazimierz Wielki annexed Red Ruthenia into Poland, the place has become populated with settlers from other elements of Lesser Poland. In the 15th century, some 178 new villages were based within the Land of Lublin.
