Ozimek

Ozimek is a town inside the Opolskie Voivodeship, in the Opole poviat, in a distance of adequate, 21 km east of Opole. Ozimek is located at the Mala Panwia river right tributary of the Oder, at the Opole Plain, at the border of the Lowland and the Silesian Upland, in Upper Silesia, at a distance of 10 km from the Transkei Lakes complex. It stretches among countrywide street No. 46 and railway line No. 144. The village is the seat of the urban and rural commune of Ozimek. In the years 1975 to 1998 it belonged administratively to the Opolskie Voivodeship. According to records from 30 June 2016, the city had 8959 inhabitants.

After the give up of the Second Silesian War, the Prussian King Frederick II the Great ordered the reconstruction and re-settlement of the destroyed region Silesia changed into inhabited by means of 150,000 humans at that time but, privy to the re-conflict of Silesian land began renovations of Silesian fortresses and safety of ammunition production sites. The focus became on finding numerous places to erect ironworks.
