About Nysa
Nysa is a town in southwestern Poland on the Eastern Neisse River, arranged in the Opole Voivodeship. With 44,419 occupants in 2016, it is the capital of Nysa County. It includes the urban bit of the encompassing Gmina Nysa. Truly the town was a piece of Upper Silesia. Nysa is one of the most established towns in Silesia. It was likely established in the 10th century and thereafter turned into the capital of a realm of its name, which around 1200 turned out to be a piece of the Bishopric of Wroclaw as the Duchy of Nysa.
As indicated by German sources, the town was established around 1223 by Bishop Lorenz near a Slavic settlement, pulling in German pilgrims. The town's fortresses from 1350 served to shield against the Hussites in 1424. The town and the duchy was a piece of Lands of the Bohemian Crown in years 1342 to 1742. One of the conspicuous signs that Nysa was a huge focus is the report in Nuremberg Chronicle, distributed in 1493, which makes reference to the city among the major urban focuses of Central and Eastern Europe.
