About Mragowo
Mragowo is a town in the Warmian Masurian Voivodeship of northeastern Poland, the capital of Mragowo County and the seat even though not a part of the Gmina Mragowo. It is positioned within the Masurian Lake District, about 60 km east of Olsztyn. About 1348 the Teutonic Knights constructed a wooden fort near present day Mragowo named Sensburg, derived from Old Prussian senas which means old, consequently maybe on the site of a former Prussian fort.
