About Malopolskie
Malopolskie is a province in the south of Poland, whose name refers to the historical place of Malopolska, rendered in English as Lesser Poland. Lesser Poland holds a wealth of visitor attracts and it's miles no marvel it sees the maximum tourist visitors of all areas of Poland. On the only hand there's the historical capital of Krakow, on the alternative are the Tatra Mountains, Poland's highest mountain variety. The Jewish history of the region has a poignant and sombre end in Auschwitz. In ancient instances Lesser Poland was once a part of one-of-a-kind cultures, like the Przeworsk subculture or the Celts.
In the 9th century it became a part of the Great Moravian Empire. Later in the early 10th century it became unbiased with a few hyperlinks to Bohemia. But already inside the early Middle Ages Lesser Poland become conquered by using the Piast from Greater Poland, which changed into the most important part of Poland within the 10-11th centuries. However, the capital of Poland become moved from Gniezno/Poznan to Krakow in 1040 and Lesser Poland have become the biggest and maximum important area in Poland. When the Seniorat of Poland was shaped in 1138, Lesser Poland became the senior area and Krakow remained the capital of the Seniorat.
