About Malbork
Malbork is a metropolis in northwestern Poland in the Zulawy area, with 38,478 population. Situated in the Pomeranian Voivodeship seeing that 1999, it was formerly assigned to Elblag Voivodeship. It is the capital of Malbork County. Founded within the 13th century by way of the Knights of the Teutonic Order, the metropolis is mentioned for its medieval Malbork Castle, constructed in the 13th Century as the Order's headquarters and of what later became called Royal Prussia.
The city become constructed in Prussia across the citadel Ordensburg Marienburg, which turned into based in 1274 at the east bank of the river Nogat by way of the Teutonic Knights. They sold the citadel in 1457 to King Casimir IV of Poland in lieu of indemnities.
