About Lublin castel
The Lublin Castle is a medieval fortress in Lublin, Poland, adjoining to the Old Town district and close to the town center. It is one of the oldest preserved Royal residencies in Poland, installed by High Duke Casimir II the Just. The hill it's miles on became first fortified with a wooden-reinforced earthen wall in the 12th century. In the first half of the 13th century, the stone maintain was built. It survives to these days and is the tallest building of the fortress, in addition to the oldest status constructing inside the city. In the 14th century, all through the reign of Casimir the Great, the fortress turned into rebuilt with stone partitions.
Probably on the equal time the fortress's Chapel of the Holy Trinity was constructed to function a royal chapel. In the first many years of the 15th century king Wladyslaw II commissioned a hard and fast of frescoes for the chapel. They have been finished in 1418 and are preserved to at the present time. The author was a Ruthenian Master Andrej, who signed his work on one of the walls.
