Lobez

Lobez is a city in Poland, in West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is the capital of Lobez County, and has a populace of 10,409. Lobez lies upon the Rega river. The name Lobez is assumed to derive from the Old Polish Lobuzie. The metropolis turned into first mentioned in a document from 1271, in keeping with which a knight named Borko became the proprietor of the town 'Lobis'. In 1295, the metropolis became referred to as a civitas beneath the name of Lobese.

Later, for 1348, the town became cited to comply with Lubeck law. Until 1945 the area had a German population and changed into a part of the German Province of Pomerania.
