About Lobez
Lobez is a city in Poland, in West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is the capital of Lobez County, and has a populace of 10,409. Lobez lies upon the Rega river. The name Lobez is assumed to derive from the Old Polish Lobuzie. The metropolis turned into first mentioned in a document from 1271, in keeping with which a knight named Borko became the proprietor of the town 'Lobis'. In 1295, the metropolis became referred to as a civitas beneath the name of Lobese.
Later, for 1348, the town became cited to comply with Lubeck law. Until 1945 the area had a German population and changed into a part of the German Province of Pomerania. After World War II the region turned into located beneath Polish management by means of the Potsdam Agreement. Most Germans fled or were expelled from their home and Poles, a number of whom have been expelled from the Polish regions annexed through the Soviet Union, took their vicinity and property. The metropolis was renamed to the present day name.
