Lazienki Park

Lazienki Park is the largest park in Warsaw, Poland, occupying 76 hectares of the city center. The recreation center and-royal residence complex lies in Warsaw's focal locale Srodmiescie on Ujazdow Avenue, which is a piece of the "Illustrious Route" connecting the Royal Castle with Wilanow Palace toward the south. North of Lazienki Park, on the opposite side of Agrykola Street, stands Ujazdow Castle. Initially planned in the seventeenth century as a showers stop thus the name for aristocrat Stanislaw Herakliusz Lubomirski, in the eighteenth century Lazienki was changed by Poland's King Stanislaw August into a setting for royal residences, estates, classicist indiscretions, and landmarks.
