About Koszalin
Koszalin is a city in Western Pomerania in north-western Poland. It is found 12 kilometers south of the Baltic Sea coast, and crossed with the guide of the stream Dzierzecinka. Koszalin is in like manner a district acclaim city and capital of Koszalin County of West Pomeranian Voivodeship considering the way that 1999. Already, it transformed into a capital of Koszalin Voivodeship. The present civic chairman of Koszalin is Piotr Jedlinski. Koszalin is first refered to in 1108 inside the Chronicle of Greater Poland which relates that duke Boleslaw Krzywousty caught and enslaved numerous Pomeranian urban areas alongside Kolobrzeg, Kamien, Wolin and Koszalin.
In 1214, Bogislaw II, Duke of Pomerania, made a gift of a town known as Koszalice/Cossalitz through Chelmska Hill in Kolobrzeg Land to the Norbertine religious community in Bialoboki close Trzebiatow. New, for the most part German, pioneers from outside of Pomerania have been welcome to settle the region. In 1248, the jap part of Kolobrzeg Land, which incorporate the town, become exchanged by method for Duke Barnim I to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kammin.
