About Koscierzyna
Koscierzyna is a city in Kashubia in Gdansk Pomerania location, northern Poland, with a few 24,000 population. It has been the capital of Koscierzyna County in Pomeranian Voivodeship on the grounds that 1999; previously it changed into in Gdansk Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998. The records of the metropolis dates lower back to the end of the 13th century. In 1346 it became granted municipal rights, and round 1350 the agreement obtained the reputation of a metropolis.
After 1310 it turned into a part of the Monastic State of the Teutonic Knights. After the Second Peace of Thorn the metropolis have become a part of the province of Royal Prussia included into the Kingdom of Poland. The town suffered frequently from fire. In 1463 it changed into first plundered and thereafter burned down completely through Poles. In 1626, throughout the Polish–Swedish War, it became completely burned down all over again. During the years 1646, 1663 and 1669 it partially burned down, and in 1709 once more totally.
