About Jelcz Laskowice
Jelcz Laskowice a metropolis within the Lower Silesia Voivodship in the Olaw poviat, the seat of the urban rural commune Jelcz Laskowice, belonging to the Wroclaw agglomeration. It lies at the proper bank of the Odra River, 22 km from Wroclaw and 57 km from Opole. Historically, it lies in Lower Silesia. In the years 1987 to 1998, the executive metropolis belonged to the Wroclaw province.
The first written facts of the cities that are a part of the present metropolis of Jelcz Laskowice date returned to the early 13th century, whilst on June 28, 1203, Duke Henry the Bearded gave rights to the village of Laskowice to Leonard Wlostowic. Whereas the name Jelcz appeared within the bull of Pope Innocent IV from August 9, 1245 whilst the village changed into assigned to the assets of the church bishop of Wroclaw, Thomas I.
