Jastrzebie Zdroj

Jastrzebie Zdroj is a city in south Poland with 92,462 inhabitants. Its name comes from the Polish words jastrzab hawk and zdroj spring. Until the 20th century it became a village located in Upper Silesia. It became granted metropolis rights in 1963. Jastrzebie Zdroj is presently located inside the Silesian Voivodeship, formerly in Katowice Voivodeship 1975 to 1998.
