About Jaslo
Jaslo is a county metropolis in south-eastern Poland with 36,641 inhabitants, as of 31 December 2012. It is situated inside the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, and it changed into formerly part of Krosno Voivodeship. It is placed in Lesser Poland, in the heartland of the Doly, and its common altitude is 320 metres above sea level, even though there are a few hills positioned inside the confines of the metropolis. The Patron Saint of the metropolis is Saint Anthony of Padua.
In the early days of Polish statehood, Jaslo was part of the Castellany of Biecz, out of which Biecz County emerged within the 14th century. A list of rectories, created for accumulating tithes, a church in "Jassel" in Zrecin deanery, Krakow diocese, is proven in 1328. The location of the future city belonged to a Cisterian Abbey from Koprzywnica, and through the mid 13th century, Jaslo, recognised then as Jasiel or Jasiol, had a fair of neighborhood significance.
