About Gora
It is the regulatory seat both of Góra County and of the littler region gmina called Gmina Góra. The town is situated in the notable Lower Silesia locale, roughly 69 kilometers 43 mi north-west of the territorial capital Wrocław. As at 2006, it has a populace of 12,574. The name of the town signifies "slope" or "mountain" in Old Polish and the settled in the Duchy of Silesia was first specified as Gora in an 1155 deed by Pope Adrian IV passing on the property to the Diocese of Wrocław.
In 1288 it turned out to be a piece of the Duchy of Głogów under the Piast duke Henry III and got Magdeburg rights. From the fourteenth century onwards, the town created a focal point of material assembling.
