About Glowno
Glowno is a metropolis and community in Poland, in Lodz Voivodeship, in Zgierz County, about 25 km northeast of Lodz. The city administratively belonged to the Lodz Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998. According to facts from 2016, the city had 14,534 population. Głowno is a dual metropolis of Germany's Remptendorf commune. Although the primary settlement at the site of present-day Głowno is thought to have seemed within the 11th century, the primary metropolis became organized within the early 15th century near a trade route from the Duchy of Masovia to the Polish state.
Rawa Mazowiecka feudal lord and Sochaczew podczaszy Jakub Glowienski based Głowno's first Roman Catholic church, which turned into consecrated on March 11, 1420 because the Church of St. Jacob. On Jakub's request, Duke Siemowit V of Masovia granted city rights below Kulm regulation. The town rights had been maintained until the contemporary day, with an interruption among the years 1870–1925.
