About Dzierzoniow
Dzierzoniow is a town placed at the foot of the Owl Mountains in southwestern Poland, inside the Lower Silesian Voivodeship from 1975 to 1998 within the former Walbrzych Voivodeship. It is the seat of Dzierzoniow County and of Gmina Dzierzoniow even though it is not part of the territory of the latter, for the reason that metropolis forms a separate city. Established in the 13th century, Dzierzoniow is a ancient Lower Silesian city that covers a place of 20.1 square kilometers and in keeping with reliable figures for 2008 has a populace of 34,396. It is named after Polish priest and scientist Jan Dzierzon.

In its early records till 1945, the town become called Reichenbach composed of the German words Reich wealthy, sturdy and Bach movement it refers back to the modern of the Pilawa River.
