About Czersk Castle
The Castle of the Masovian Dukes is a Gothic castle positioned in Czersk, Masovian Voivodeship in Poland. The castle became built on the turning factor of the 14th and 15th century. The Masovian dukes fort in Czersk became constructed on the turning point of the 14th and 15th century, by using Duke Janusz I. When the Masovian land have become part of the Kingdom of Poland - which became beneath the rule of thumb of Queen Bona Sforza.
Primarily, the fortress had 3 towers, one in every of them - being 4-sided, was used as the principle gate residence. During the war with the Swedes, in 1656, the fortress became partly ruined. The taking flight land navy, near Warta, underneath Stefan Czarniecki's command had captured the stronghold and had devastated it. The castle went via a reconstruction among 1762–1766, when Marszalek Franciszek Bielinski had commanded the reconstruction of the stronghold.
However, due to the Prussian Partition, the Prussian chief had ordered for the demolition of the fortress's defense partitions, reducing the stronghold's military importance. From that time, no one had every once more took at the reconstruction of the castle. From the once amazing stronghold, all of the towers; a brick bridge from the eighteenth century; and the north and east wing of the castle had all survived.
