Chelm is a town in eastern Poland with 63,949 population. It is positioned to the south-east of Lublin, north of Zamosc and south of Biaa Podlaska, some 25 kilometres from the border with Ukraine. Chelm was the capital of the Chelm Voivodeship till it have become a part of the Lublin Voivodeship in 1999.
