About Central Museum of Textiles
The Central Museum of Textiles is a gallery of materials situated in the Ludwik Geyer's White Factory in Lodz, Poland. To start with endeavors to make a sorted out accumulation of materials in the territory go back to 1952 when Krystyna Kondratiukowa prompted setting up a Weaving Department in the Museum of Art in Lodz. Inferable from the accomplishment of this undertaking, the office was changed into a branch of the Museum of Art. As an autonomous hierarchical unit, the exhibition hall has worked since 1960, when the Museum of the History of Textiles was set up.
The White Factory the seat of the historical center is a complex of classicist structures raised by the group of Ludwik Geyer in the years 1835– 1886. It is viewed as a standout amongst the most wonderful and one of a kind landmarks of modern design in Poland. It owes its extraordinariness to the four-wing factory, the working of the Old Boiler House amidst a major yard, a high fireplace, two residue towers and two water-towers. The way toward remodeling and changing the White Factory to the historical center's targets started in 1955 when specialists took a choice to assign it to the future area of the exhibition hall.
