About Boleslawiec
Boleslawiec is a town located on the Bobr River inside the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in southwestern Poland with 40,837 populations 2006. It is the executive seat of Boleslawiec County and of Gmina Boleslawiec although it isn't a part of the territory of the latter, the city being an urban gmina in its own proper. Boleslawiec was formerly in Jelenia Gora Voivodeship 1975 to 1998. Boleslawiec celebrated its 750th anniversary in 2001. The call is derived from the Silesian duke Boleslaw I the Tall. The castellany of Bolezlauez in Lower Silesia changed into first cited in a 1201 deed.
