About Bartoszyce
Bartoszyce is a metropolis at the Lyna River in northeastern Poland with 25,621 populations. It is the capital of Bartoszyce County in the Warmian Masurian Voivodeship. Around 1241 the Teutonic Knights constructed a fortress on the left shore of the Alle Lyna River on the border among the Prussian regions of Natangia and Bartia. The citadel became a part of the Komturei Balga. It became first composed of block houses, palisades, and earthworks and later constructed from bricks. Besieged by means of Old Prussians for 4 years during a Prussian uprising beginning in 1260, the castle turned into destroyed in 1264.
