The Artus Court is a working in the focal point of Gdansk, Poland German: Danzig, at Dlugi Targ 44, which used to be the gathering spot of traders and a focal point of social life. Today it is a state of enthusiasm of ious guests and a branch of the Gdansk History Museum. The name was taken from the exceptionally prominent medieval legend of King Arthur - an image of valor and bravery. Initially in England, at that point in other European nations, his name was given to the houses where knights and nobles used to meet.
In Poland, Artus courts were established and gone by bourgeoisie. There were a few courts in Rzeczpospolita yet the one in Gdansk was by a wide margin the most well known. In the mid 14th century Artus Courts existed in the Hanseatic towns of Elbing, Riga and Stralsund and comparable courts like the House of the Blackheads at Riga and Tallinn. It was home to six crews which took their names from seats Banken, the Reinhold's, St. Christopher's or Lübecker, Marienburger, Biblical Magi's, Counsillors' and the Dutch seat.
These Confraternities were generally composed by the dealer's or ship proprietor's exchange relations, e.g. with Lubeck, the Netherlands or Poland and accumulated the nearby tip top - individuals from gentry and well off bourgeoisie. As of now in 1492 traders from England were permitted to show up at the Court. The passageway was restricted for experts, slow down attendants and employed specialists. Rich dealers and guests from abroad accumulated here in the night times.
