Malacanang Palace
About Malacanang Palace
Malacañang Palace is the official habitation and important working environment of the President of the Philippines situated in the capital city of Manila. The Palace is in truth a complex of structures manufactured to a great extent in Spanish frontier and Neo-established style.
The broad grounds of Malacañang contain one of only a handful couple of parks in Manila, with tropical greenery, extremely old acacia trees, and even a balete tree or two. The acacias are trimmed with the desert plant like 'Ruler of the Night.'
The expansive gardens, lavish trees and greenery show how Manila may have been the point at which it was less crowded and times were all the more comfortable.
The famous public garden now is known as 'Opportunity Park' fronts the Administration and Executive Buildings. It has statues symbolizing the four flexibilities that were conveyed to Malacañang from the Manila International Fair of the 1950s.
The statues were for some time overlooked at the cogon field that was then Rizal Park, when First Lady Eva Macapagal recovered them.
