Laguna, formally referred to as the Province of Laguna is a province within the Philippines, positioned within the Calabarzon vicinity in Luzon. Its capital is Santa Cruz and the province is located southeast of Metro Manila, south of the province of Rizal, west of Quezon, north of Batangas and east of Cavite. Laguna hugs the southern seashores of Laguna de Bay, the biggest lake within the united states of america. As of the 2015 census, the province's total population is 3,0.5,081. Pre-Hispanic agreement inside the area can be dated to prehistoric times, as evidenced within the names of towns including Pila, Laguna, whose name may be traced to the immediately mounds of dirt that shape the bounds of the rice paddy, or Pilapil.
