About Fort San Pedro
It is famous among visitors, it is a military safeguard structure in Cebu Philippines, worked by the Spanish under the summon of Miguel López de Legazpi, first legislative leader of the Captaincy General of the Philippines.
It is situated in the territory now called Plaza Indepedencia, in the wharf region of the city.
The first fortification was made of wood and worked after the landing of Legazpi and his endeavor.
In the mid seventeenth century a stone fortress was worked to repulse Muslim marauders.
The present structure dates from 1738 and is the most seasoned triangular bastion post in the nation.
It filled in as the core of the primary Spanish settlement in the Philippines. Amid the Philippine Revolution toward the finish of the nineteenth century, it was assaulted and taken by Filipino progressives, who utilized it as a fortress.
