About Nanga Parbat
Going by the stats, Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain if the world. It measures a staggering 8,126 metres 26,660 feet and stands tall in the Gilgit- Baltistan region of Pakistan. The historic Indus river flows nearby and it shares vicinity with the western end of the Karakoram range. The literal translation of its name means the Naked Mountain'. It is because of its exception that, despite being a Himalayan peak, it is not covered with snow.
