About Norwegian Petroleum Museum
The Norwegian Petroleum Museum is located in Stavanger, Norway. It was designed by using the architectural firm of Lunde & Lovseth Arkitekter A/S and turned into opened on 20 May 1999. Seen from the sea the museum seems like a small oil platform. The unusual architecture has made the museum a landmark in the Port of Stavanger. The museum changed into constructed in stone, glass and urban and covers approx. 5,000 rectangular meters. The museum specializes in offshore petroleum interest especially in the North Sea. The museum shows objects, films, pics and other materials were gathered that file Norwegian oil and fuel sports.
The museum suggests the technological improvement from the beginning of the Norwegian oil records inside the mid-Nineteen Sixties, from the first North Sea drilling structures, through metallic and concrete platforms advanced and built in Norway, to trendy, bendy manufacturing ships and subsea structures. This is the excellent area to visit in this town.
