About Elverum
Elverum is a municipality in Osterdalen in Hedmark. Elverum borders the municipalities of Amot within the north, Trysil inside the northeast, Valer in the south and Loten in the west. Elverum municipality covers 1229 km² and lots of this is blanketed through woodland. There are 21,086 populations in Elverum municipality, of which 14,946 stay within the municipal middle, the village of Elverum as of one January 2017. The municipality has had a steady boom in the population at some point of the put up-battle duration.
Population boom is due specifically to elevated public services, through the Inland Hospital, Innlandet University College and the Norwegian Armed Forces. The purpose for Elverum center's camp region is the Christiansfjeld fort. Soldiers were given there to calm down, and as extra people got here, there came also grocers and salesmen. This shaped the premise for populace boom. In the 16th and 18th centuries, several fortifications have been constructed around Elverum. At Elverum Folk High School on April 9, 1940, the same day that Germany invaded Norway in World War II, King Haakon said his famous no to the German messenger Brauer.
