Bodo Domkirke

It is a basilica in the region of Bodo in Nordland province, Norway. It is situated in the town of Bodo. The congregation is a piece of the Bodo ward in the Bodo deanery in the Diocese of Sor-Halogaland. The house of God is likewise the seat of the Bishop of Sor-Halogaland. Since 2007 Tor Berger Jorgensen is the Bishop of the house of God. The old church in Bodo was obliterated on 27 May 1940 when the entire downtown area of Bodo was besieged amid World War II. In 1946, a design rivalry was held for the development of another congregation in Bodo. The draftsmen Gudolf Blakstad and Herman Munthe-Kaas won that opposition.
