Isa

Isa is a town and Local Government Area in the province of Sokoto in Nigeria. It imparts fringes to Shinkafi in Zamfara State, Sabon Birni in Sokoto and the Republic of Niger in the east. It has a territory of 2,158 km² and a populace of 146,103 at the 2006 enumeration. The postal code of the territory is 842.

The Isa LGA is comprised of the capital town of Isa and different towns and towns, for example, Turba, Bafarawa origin of previous Sokoto State senator and 2007 presidential hopeful Attahiru Bafarawa. Generally, the region was a piece of the antiquated kingdom of Gobir and is occupied by individuals from the Gobirawa and Fulani ethnic gatherings.
