About Wairarapa
Wairarapa, is a geographical area of New Zealand. It occupies the south-japanese nook of the North Island, east of metropolitan Wellington and south-west of the Hawke's Bay place. It is gently populated, having numerous rural provider cities, with Masterton being the biggest. It is known as after its largest lake, Lake Wairarapa. The region is commonly called The Wairarapa, especially whilst used after a preposition. Wairarapa is shaped like a rectangle, approximately 130 kilometres lengthy and 65 kilometres extensive. The Ngāti Kahungunu tribe's boundary for the place is similar. Their tribal location starts at Porangahau and ends at Turakirae.
It is the southernmost of their 3 rohe running down the eastern North Island from Wairoa. For the Rangitane tribe, Wairarapa is a part of a wider homeland that consists of Manawatu and Horowhenua. The north–south divide became strengthened in 1989, when local authority obstacles modified. The new Tararua District Council covers northern Wairarapa and southern Hawke's Bay. Central and southern Wairarapa became divided into 3 district councils: Masterton, Carterton and South Wairarapa.
