Isel Park was a piece of the land bought by early pioneer Thomas Marsden. His property was limited by Songer Street , Main Road Stoke, Arapiki Road and stretched out up into what is currently known as Marsden Valley. Marsden and his better half Mary in the end fabricated their home where Isel House now stands.
