About Ben Lomond

Famous among locals for tracking the Ben Lomond Track is a requesting climb, yet on sunny mornings trampers are compensated at the summit with terrific all-encompassing views. The track starts among Douglas fir on Skyline Access Road/Tiki Trail. There are two purposes of access to this track, base or best of the Skyline Access Road or from the Tiki, Trail beginning at the highest point of Brecon Street.

At around 800m height, you enter snow capped tussocks and bushes, moving to the 1326m Ben Lomond Saddle Ben Lomond Station. It is popular among tourist the most, the track gets more extreme and rougher as it approaches Ben Lomond's 1,748m summit. From April to November, be set up for snow and ice over the bushline.
