National Park Zuid Kennemerland is a Dutch country wide park located in the province of North Holland and installed in 1995. Dutch conservationist Jac. P. Thijsse first wrote about a possible country wide park between Bloemendaal and the North Sea Canal in 1944. As a result, the national park De Kennemerduinen was set up in 1950.
The Zuid Kennemerland National Park became set up in 1995. It comprised De Kennemerduinen, numerous nature reserves managed through Vereniging Natuurmonumenten and a few different areas. The park is located west of Haarlem in the province of North Holland within the west of the Netherlands. It is located within the municipalities of Bloemendaal, Velsen, and Zandvoort. It consists of the southern part of the place called Kennemerland. South Kennemerland is characterised by way of sand dunes. The park, about 38 rectangular kilometres in size, also includes some estates, forests at the dune fringes and coastal beaches. The dunes was once a watershed for the metropolis of Haarlem. Large amounts were received for consumption.
